What will you do to demonstrate your commitment to work health and safety?
As WHSQE manager working towards a zero fatality vision by 2022 with Safework NSW and the new roadmap that has been set. Leading by example and ensuring all employees are well trained and educated on WHS policy and procedures.
What will you do to make sure your business has the capability to put in place safe systems, procedures and policies?
Ensure our site safety plan and internal processes are kept up to date and constantly monitor and ensure other managers have a positive and proactive approach towards WHS.
What will you do to ensure that your workers have the skills and attitudes to work safely?
Provide them with the necessary training for them to fulfil their roles and duties, sharing relevant safety information and getting everyone engaged in creating a safer work environment.
What will you do to create a safe physical and mental environment?
Constant workplace monitoring and asking other employees questions about their role and if they are happy with their workplace environment. Keeping the lines of communication open at all times and having a zero tolerance policy on harassment.
What will you do to make sure that clear and relevant information flows through your organisation?
Provide information on WHS rules and regulations, display safety marketing material onsite, provide training, workshops and get involved in weekly toolbox talks.
