What will you do to demonstrate your commitment to work health and safety?
Management will actively encourage all employees to identify areas where improvement may be made. Participants will be recognised for their input, no matter how large or small it may be as many small ideas can have the same effect as one large idea.
What will you do to make sure your business has the capability to put in place safe systems, procedures and policies?
Every employee is being approached as part of a full review of our current WHS system. Open and frank discussions regarding areas where we are doing well, have improved and can improve further are being undertaken.
What will you do to ensure that your workers have the skills and attitudes to work safely?
We have developed a skills gap analysis the now includes "Preferred Training/Skills", previously we only had Mandatory and "Other".
What will you do to create a safe physical and mental environment?
We will ensure all workers are trained to spot a hazard early and prevent an emergency from arising where ever possible. However should an emergency occur everyone shall have the skills and resources to respond appropriately.
What will you do to make sure that clear and relevant information flows through your organisation?
In additional to the full reveiw of our current WHS System, which every employee is encouraged to participate in. The company will hold quarterly BBQ breakfasts that include a Toolbox Meeting.
